\*\*Description:\*\*I am currently facing a **“Background connection unresponsive”** error on my MetaMask wallet extension. Here are my system details: - **Platform/Browser:** Google Chrome on Windows (Intel i5-9300H CPU) - **When it happens:** The wallet gives this error and becomes completely unresponsive. I haven’t tried reinstalling the extension yet because I want to make sure I don’t lose any data or access. Has anyone encountered this issue recently on Chrome, or does anyone know a safe way to fix it? Hi! Before uninstalling and reinstalling MetaMask, make sure you’ve backed up your private key somewhere safe and offline.You can also try a few simple things first: completely close and reopen Chrome, make sure your browser is updated to the latest version, temporarily disable other extensions, or try running MetaMask in a different Chrome profile. Hey there, sorry you’re experiencing this issue. This tends to happen more frequently on older systems, taking \>10-15 seconds to be prompted by a “Background connection unresponsive” after a fresh install. Is this the first time you’re experiencing this issue? Could you share with us your Extension version as well? ---
