Description: Hi MetaMask team and community,
I’m reporting an important UX and security issue that already caused me financial loss. The bottom panel (network, settings, disconnect button) is in the same area where the transaction confirmation pop-ups appear (Confirm / Cancel buttons). Because of this, when a user tries to disconnect or change network while a scam transaction pop-up suddenly shows up, they can accidentally press “Confirm” and approve a transaction they did not intend to authorize. This is exactly what happened to me. I was aware that I was being scammed and tried to disconnect from the app to prevent any transaction. However, the confirmation pop-up appeared a fraction of a second before I could press the disconnect button. As a result, I lost all my funds, even though I knew what was happening and was actively trying to avoid it.
Purpose: Move the bottom panel (network, settings, disconnect) away from the Confirm / Cancel area. - Keep the bottom area exclusively for transaction actions (Confirm / Cancel). - Put connection/network/settings/disconnect controls in a separate, clearly different location (top bar, header, or side menu). This change would prevent other users from going through the same situation and significantly improve wallet security. I’m happy to provide more details (browser, OS, MetaMask version, screenshots) if needed. Thanks for considering this.
