Description:
eth_getEncryptionPublicKey and eth_decrypt have been deprecated due to security concerns. EIP-5630 (link removed) is a variation that does not have these security concerns.
In (link removed), MetaMask has indicated that they would be open to better wallet-to-wallet encryption schemes:
If this is still the case, I suggest that MM adopt EIP-5630.
