BSCAN records(coins) different from Metamask (coins)

yes, BSC scan looks at the blockchain to get all the information from your wallet, so BSC Scan will be more complete. It will have all the tokens, and transaction history of your wallet.
Metamask is only a User interface to see your wallet, same as BSCScan, but in Metamask the tokens are not added automatically, so although tokens can be in your wallet and they show up in BSC scan, they won’t be visible in Metamask until you add them so they are visible.
Just to be clear, your wallet is in the blockchain, not in Metamask, Metamask is only a Graphic user interface to interact with your wallet.
