Critical Gas Price Issue on Shibarium and Puppynet Networks

Dear MetaMask Team,
We are reaching out from the Shiba Inu team to request immediate attention and escalation of an ongoing critical issue that is severely impacting our users’ experience.

Issue Summary: For over a year, the default gas recommendations on MetaMask have been calculated too low for transactions on the Shibarium and Puppynet networks. As a result, users are experiencing pending transactions that can last for days, weeks or forever, leading to a poor user experience and frustration. This issue has negatively affected 169k users to date and continues to pose a significant challenge.

Action Needed: Integrate Accurate Gas Price Support for Shibarium and Puppynet Networks
Description: We urgently need support for gas price retrieval on Shibarium and Puppynet networks. MetaMask’s gas station API should provide suggested gas prices categorized as low, market, and aggressive, allowing users to select appropriate fees based on their preferences.

Requirements:

• Integrate accurate gas price retrieval for Shibarium and Puppynet.
• Display suggested gas prices in three categories: low, market, and aggressive.
