Determine Metamask Lock Duration, Allowing Users to

Description: Bring back the ability for wallet owners to determine how long, their wallet remains actively open, before lockout. Having such a small maximum duration of 5 minutes (on the brave extension) & 10 minutes (on the Android OS) is inexplicable! It forces users onto setting their wallet to ‘never’: which I am NOT prepared to do. I am forever having to re-sign in, when making adjustments. Preferably, have the option for users to input a variable time value: such 1 minute-120 minutes. As I understand it, these options used to do exist, in MetaMask. Why would you ever remove this functionality??

Purpose: To remove the frustrations of constantly having to sign in, when working in & around the wallet. Rabby allows up to 4 hours. Too long, but the option is there.

Extension/Mobile/Both: Both

Thanks for sharing the feedback.
I understand the frustration around that, especially when you’re actively working with your wallet and have to unlock it repeatedly.

The team always take note of users’ feedback and take it into consideration when evaluating future improvements, so your request for more flexible/longer timeout options will be noted.

Hi, you can go to your mobile settings, then select the Security & Privacy option, where you can choose the MetaMask wallet lock duration between 5 seconds and 10 minute.

I think this can be a very reasonable option because you would only need to enter your password again based on the lock duration you choose before accessing your wallet.

Also, thank you for sharing this feedback. The team always reviews feedback and messages from users, and if needed, they will definitely consider improvements like this in future updates.
