Hello,
It would be great if MetaMask had a hotkeys feature to make swaps faster. Perhaps a specific key to press for confirmation transactions instead of waiting for the MetaMask window to pop up and then scrolling down to click on the ‘Confirm’ button.

Hotkeys are already available via Chrome Extension Settings.

You can access and set them by:

  1. Clicking “…” in top right of browser
  2. Clicking “Settings”
  3. Clicking “Extensions”
  4. Clinking the Hamburger Menu Buttion / 3 lines in Top Left
  5. Then Clicking “Keyboard Shortcuts”
  6. Looking for “Metamask” and configuring the key combo there

according to your method, only assigning a hot key to “extension activation” is available.
Useless.
MetaMask needs to add ways to interact with the extension through hotkeys - and then new functions will appear in the “hotkeys” section.
On Github since 2018, people have been asking for a hotkey to switch accounts and confirm transactions.
2022 now.

You can use a program like KeyboardMaestro – or any text-expander-like program – and tell it that every time you press, let’s say command+enter to “insert text by typing” and then make that text “[tab] [tab] [tab] [tab] [tab] [tab] [tab] [tab] [tab] [tab] [tab] [tab] [spacebar].”

That’s a pretty down-and-dirty, low-tech workaround but it works reliably for me.
