Transaction confirmed and canceled, gas fee paid

Hi there,
After long time hesitating I am just starting within this community and using Metamask, but I am at the moment very disappointed with the following issue.

Your support and help would be very appreciated.

As attached in img, my transaction ETH → SHIB has be confirmed in Metamask AND Canceled in EtherScan (which reason, I am curious?). But when I come back to my Metamask wallet I can see my initial ETH token minus the 70$ gas fee of the - not done transaction.

This is very uncomfortable to pay that much for an inexisting SWAP, and now I cannot do any other SWAP as far I do not have any answer on what’s going on. I get the impress to have been robbed !

PLEASE COULD YOU GIVE ME A SUPPORT?

You’re not alone.
It seems that even if you cancel a transaction you STILL PAY the fee.
Happened to me when i cancelled several DAI switches ( DAI eth to DAI avax ) . I still paid eth fees 4 times!!!
