Add support for Bitcoin chain

Description:
Bitcoin is still the largest crypto and is considered pristine collateral. MetaMask should support it. A large number of multichain wallets have this capability

Purpose:
Add the ability to hold BTC, on Bitcoin chain

Because Bitcoin network is not EVM-compatible, it is not supported by MetaMask.

Thank you for your response. That’s why I created this as a feature request. Other major wallets such as TrustWallet and Coinbase Wallet support this feature, so MetaMask should reach parity.

The existence of this snap also validates the need for MetaMask to support native Bitcoin. Users are not going to access the largest, safest crypto through an alpha snap app. It’s interesting as a demo but not for serious use.
