Change the wording of phishing detection page

Description:
The issue mostly comes from github issue .

(So you say I can’t use links? I’ll copy paste everything for you then.)

[Legitimate Site Blocked] #7505

This is getting a little ridiculous as the reason given is:

This domain was blocked for its similarity to , a historical phishing target.

Also, the reason given by the plugin is very misleading as well:

This means that based on information available to us, MetaMask believes this domain could currently compromise your security and, as an added safety feature, MetaMask has restricted access to the site.

You guys really should change it for fuzzy list matches as the fuzzy list is flagging too many unrelated domains. You can’t really say that you believe the OpenCA project would compromise the security of a blockchain wallet, right?

Also #5637 is being hit by the same fuzzy list entry as well.

You really shouldn’t say that to fuzzy list matches as it’s just plain not true.

Purpose:
Make the phishing detection not ridiculous.

Well, this ends up in the feature requests forum so I don’t really think it will be improved…

Hey @haruka, the team is aware that legitimate sites are being blocked by mistake and is working towards improving this process.

Actually, this thread is not about the mistaken blocks. The main feature request is to make MetaMask use a fuzzier language when blocking websites by fuzzy list - otherwise the reputation hurts done to other websites seems too much for me.

You can’t really say that you believe the OpenCA project would compromise the security of a blockchain wallet, right?

(The reason I sound pissed on the first post is just because that I was not able to post links to MetaMask’s own GitHub repository, while the github issue itself was completely ignored for months with zero interaction from any team member.)

Thanks for bringing this up, we just added the MetaMask · GitHub as an allowed link domain on the forum!
