Could Someone Give me Guidance with MetaMask Transaction Stuck in Pending Status?

Hello there,

I have been using MetaMask for a while now, but I recently encountered an issue with a transaction that has been stuck in the pending status for over 24 hours. I am hoping someone here can help me understand what might be going wrong and how I can resolve this.

I attempted to send ETH from my MetaMask wallet to another wallet. The transaction was confirmed on my end; and I paid the suggested gas fees.
I am currently using the Ethereum Mainnet.

The transaction is still pending in the MetaMask interface; and it has not shown up on Etherscan either. I have tried increasing the gas fee using the Speed Up feature; but it did not seem to make a difference.

I reviewed the MetaMask support articles but could not find a solution that fits my case.

I am concerned that the transaction might be stuck indefinitely; and I am unsure of what steps to take next. Should I try canceling the transaction? If so; what is the safest way to do that without risking the loss of funds? :thinking:

Hi @elija6266 and did any ETH leave your wallet? If you don’t see it on etherscan, the transaction probably didn’t go through.

When you haven’t lost any eth :point_down: you can clear activity data:
