im still waiting on a reply or fix. my token value went from being worth 70 to now just 11 because of this.

This issue has been fixed in v 9.5.2. Please update your extension and this issue should be resolved. Please let us know if you continue to experience this error after updating.

After try send ETH.
You can get rid of the error by uninstalling the extensions and reinstalling.

I’m using MetaMask Version 9.6.1
Getting this error message, today 7/7/2021 for importing wallet via private key:

“Cannot convert string to buffer. toBuffer only supports 0x-prefixed hex strings and this string was given: 0x”
