Have seed phase. Can't restore

On Mac OS I added MM firefox extension using MetaMask ā€“ Get this Extension for šŸ¦Š Firefox (en-GB) as my existing Metamask was showing a blank screen when I tried to view it.
I selected to install new copy using existing seed phrase. I entered the seed phrase which was successtully accepted. In metamask it shows a new account 1, not my existing account. Iā€™m confused ! how do I restore my orginal account ?

Is it the blank/white screen issue you have?

Have you tried using Firefox or Chrome?

Bumping the thread to see what browser you use? Chrome, Firefox?
