I purchased it during the Doge20 pre-sale period and recently connected my MetaMask wallet to make a claim, but the transaction screen does not appear and even if I copy and add the coin address, the quantity is displayed as 0. I don’t know if I was scammed or if I missed something. I need help.

There are definetely a lot of scams out there. I would not recommend connecting your wallet to a site if you don’t trust it 100%. Did you purchase this one:
coingecko .com/en/coins/dogecoin20
What is the site called? The one you’re trying to claim from and on which network?
Also, can you share your address here?

You will have to do your own research whether the site is safe to use or not.
In regards to you not being able to connect your wallet, are you using other wallet extensions other than MetaMask? If yes, disable them so only MetaMask is enabled and then reopen your browser, relog onto your MetaMask and try again.
