I sold an NFT via the “basecraft” platform. The platerfome tells me that in order to transfer my ETH (2 ETH) to Matamask, there must already have been at least 1 ETH on MetaMask. Is this true?
Otherwise I can only transfer ETH less than 1.

This sounds like scam. Be very careful what you interact with. Always dyor before interacting with anything in crypto, lots of scammers out there.
