Mobile Connnection Fails

Description:

MetaMask Mobile does not connect successfully to piku(.)co when using the direct MetaMask option through RainbowKit.

The issue has been reproduced by several members of our team across different mobile devices and browsers, including Safari, Chrome, and Brave.

The connection flow is:

piku(.)co→ Connect Wallet → MetaMask via RainbowKit → Open MetaMask → Select Account → “Connected” banner and “Return to the App” message → Return to piku(.)co→ Wallet is still not connected.

Interestingly, when we select WalletConnect first and then choose MetaMask from the available wallets, the connection works successfully.

For reference, my device details are:

  • Device: iPhone 13 mini

  • Operating System: iOS 26.5

  • Browser: Safari

Purpose:

We would like to understand why the direct MetaMask mobile connection flow does not complete successfully after the user returns to piku(.)co

This issue negatively affects the user experience because MetaMask confirms that the connection is successful, but the wallet remains disconnected on the website.

You can try restarting your browser, clearing cache and try again. Also make sure you are on the latest version of MetaMask app
