Mobile sync with MM chrome extension no longer working

Hello,

Few days back my Mobile MM wallet gave the message that because of memory issue, I need to reset the wallet or resynchronise.
So I reinstalled and tried to sync with my chrome MM by scanning the QR code. However MM now tells me that to sync the mobile wallet, I need use the 12 seed phrase and that the scanning method no longer works.
Can you please confirm if above is correct?

Great question! The mobile sync feature is currently disabled as we work to make improvements. I apologize for the confusion. You can simply enter your 12-word secret recovery phrase to load your wallet.
