Users have recently reported receiving the error, “RangeError: Incorrect locale information”

A potentially quick and semi-nontechnical workaround is to set your browser’s language to a different language that is Intl compliant, like en (English), then reinstall the extension. Be sure that your seed phrase is 100% accurate since reinstalling clears all extension data.

Will the first method clear the extentions data?

Yes, but a fix should be deployed in the next day or so. You can go ahead and do this workaround for immediate access to your wallet or wait for the fix to be deployed and not lose your data.
