Metamask encountered an error. Can't load it

Hi:

Yesterday my metamask (Chrome extension) stopped working. The window shows

“Metamask encountered an error” I can’t load anything.

" * Function.prototype.apply was called on undefined, which is a undefined and not a function

  • Código: TypeError"

Anyone knows about it?

Have tried to upgrade system, reboot, delete cookies etc.

Hi @trabuco If you don’t have a MetaMask  seed phrase :slightly_smiling_face: use this guide:

If you have windows you have search the folder:
C:\Users\USER_NAME\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Local Extension Settings\nkbihfbeogaeaoehlefnkodbefgpgknn

In that folder you’ll see a file called 000003.ldb or something similar the number doesn’t matter, you’re looking for .ldb files

and follow the instructions on the page :slightly_smiling_face:

Then uninstall MetaMask and again install :slightly_smiling_face: and use your old MetaMask seed phrase.

Hey @trabuco, welcome to the MetaMask community!

This is an issue the team is aware of and our team is currently investigating the issue. As a workaround, please make sure you update your browser to the latest version.

Let us know if the issue is persisting after doing so.Please make sure you have backed up your Seed Phrase / Secret Recovery Phrase and private keys correctly (write down your 12, 18 or 24 words/ store in a location you can access).
