What version of the app do you have and on what operating system, Android or iOS?

I have a feeling you’re seeing an issue we’ve been trying to track down the precise cause of.
If I’m right, it goes something like this: Launch MM > navigate to other apps > after a bit of time re-launch/open MM > and it just gets stuck on the fox animation screen, no biometrics/password confirmation, right? (if you force close and re-launch the app it should start right up normally)
Double check that you have the most recent version (7.77.0 on android and iOS) if so, get in touch with support through the chat on our support site. We ask people not to share much detail here, Im pretty sure we’ll need to grab some additional beyond what Chinzilla asked for to help figure out what’s causing it to get stuck. https://support.MetaMask.io > ‘Contact Support’ buttons.
