Description:
I am a regular user of the MetaMask browser extension and I appreciate the seamless experience it provides for interacting with decentralized applications (dApps). However, I have recently started using a Tangem hardware wallet and I’ve noticed that there is no direct way to connect this wallet to dApps via MetaMask.
WalletConnect is an open-source protocol that enables this connection between dApps and mobile wallets using QR code scanning or deep linking.
I understand that there might be technical challenges involved in this integration. However, considering the growing popularity of hardware wallets and the security they offer, I believe this feature would be a valuable addition to MetaMask.
Purpose:
It would be extremely beneficial if MetaMask could integrate WalletConnect support into its browser extension. This would allow users like me to connect our hardware wallets to dApps, enhancing the security and versatility of our cryptocurrency transactions.
