Accounts lost after reinstall of extension in brave

Hello,
As post title implies, I deleted and reinstalled MM extension on brave because it wasn’t logging in. Restored using SRP and the account restored had no txns on etherscan and address didn’t look familiar.

I did look at some of the official guides for account restoration, and tried manually adding six accounts, and none of the addresses align with my old accounts. Even though I restored using SRP, it appears to be a completely brand new account.

I was able to log in to my MM on Chrome and those accounts are accessible. Can I do something with the private key on those accounts to restore the missing accounts on brave?

Any ideas on where to go from here? I’m not sure what I did wrong, I didn’t realize reinstalling the extension had this serious of repercussions.

Hi @TremblingSpoon, welcome to the MetaMask community,

Make sure that you have entered the same SRP correctly. The following article is related.

It is good that you have the same account on another browser. Make sure to back up the SRP. https://support.metamask.io/hc/en-us/articles/360015290032-How-to-reveal-your-Secret-Recovery-Phrase

Yes, you can get the private keys of those accounts and import them on another wallet. Please refer to this link: https://support.metamask.io/hc/en-us/articles/360015289632-How-to-export-an-account-s-private-key

Please check the article I shared above: “My Secret Recovery Phrase/private key restored the wrong account(s)
That should help. Let us know in case you need further assistance.
