Cannot set up a wallet on Android because the screen doesn't show

I am hitting a brick wallet very early in the process of setting up a MetaMask wallet on an Android phone. If I select “create a new wallet” and “continue with google”, then it asks me to create a password. I can type in a password, but the bottom of that screen is not visible, and there is no way to scroll down, and no way to continue. I have deleted and reinstalled the app. I have gone into “settings” for the phone in general, and selected the minimum font size. The font gets smaller, but that screen is still cut off at the same place.

Hello! Thanks for the details. In this case, if you can try with another device, please do it. If the situation continues in the other device, please contact the live chat support for MetaMask with one of our agents

Steps for live support from MetaMask: visit https://support.metamask.io/

Select the “Contact Support” button under Start a Conversation bubble. Chat with support may take several seconds to load. If it does not load, please try another browser. You do not need to open a ticket on the same browser as MetaMask, so you can try multiple browsers easily. A bot will initially try to help you, but you will get connected to live support if bot cannot assist.

Welcome to the MetaMask community.
We’re sorry you’re experiencing this issue. It appears you may have installed the app via an APK; I recommend trying to install it from the Google Play Store.
Personally, I think this is most likely a compatibility issue with your Android version.
The best solution, as @Max2 mentioned, is to contact customer support.
