Erroneous transfer to DAI contract address

  • Hi I errouneously sent an USDT transfer to the DAI contract address 0x6b175474e89094c44da98b954eedeac495271d0f. It was a large sum around 9k USD, I can see the transaction was processed and is showing up on the balance viewable on etherscan.   • I see the balance sitting in the account, Is there anyway it can be returned? or reversed?

I have contacted makedao and they weren’t able to recover the tokens, it was sent with my metamask, would they be able to reverse the transaction? or help somehow?

Due to the nature of the underlying technology, Blockchain transactions that have been confirmed by the network are not reversible.We are not able to reverse any successful transactions.

What are my possible options to have the funds returned to me? Or coins burned, reminted and issued to me
Looking for some answers
