Metamask crash on opening iOS

Hello,

MetaMask crash on opening, it started to happen out of nowhere and it doesn’t open anymore.
It crash a minute after opening, on the loading screen(See screenshot)

I updated to the latest version of iOS and latest version of MetaMask as well after this issue started.

I restarted my phone many times, offloaded the app and downloaded again.

I also want to avoid reinstalling the app completely.

Device: iPhone 12 Pro Max
iOS version: iOS 18.0.1
MetaMask version: 7.33.0

  • This will connect you to a bot at first, answer some questions and it will open a ticket for you with an agent.

Remember - NOBODY, including from support, will ask for your secret recovery phrase or for you to input it onto any website for confirmation.

This situation may be caused by a temporary bug, in order to check this please follow these steps.

  1. Try clearing cookies and cache

  2. Try restarting the browser or your phone

  3. Try a different web browser or device

  4. Update the version of MetaMask you currently have

Please try the steps above, before you do, remember it Is Important to have the following:

  • Secret Recovery Phrase
  • Password

You need to have this, just in case, you need it.
REMEMBER NEVER to share this with anyone.
