Old ERC-20 TRX Swap

Hello, community!
I have an “Imported” Account on my MetaMask that was imported using an ETH private key.
On it, I’ve got some old TRX tokens (pre-mainnet era). I managed to make them show up on my wallet by importing the smart contract (0xf230b790E05390FC8295F4d3F60332c93BEd42e2) manually.
Now, I want to follow the instructions at bit.ly/tronix-erc20 to swap my old coins to TRX. If I send my tokens to the smart contract mentioned here ( 0xf98d419274d678225df329bcb0a703964f5b1acb), will I automatically get my TRX on the mainnet? I’m especially concerned about the fact that my wallet is imported using a private key, not the mnemonics.

You have successfully restored your wallet, so there is nothing to worry about.

will I automatically get my TRX on the mainnet?

You can test it with a small amount of TRX.
Someone asked a similar question a few days ago for your reference.

Thanks for the help! Yes, this is a great solution that is guaranteed to work. I found another one. I should have looked better before creating the topic, sorry I wasted your time. Binance supports deposit OLDTRX token with conversion to TRX after. I checked it on a small quantity, everything works. Thanks for the tips anyway, have a nice day guys.
