Description:
Support channel requires people to create at least 5 topics, read 30 posts and spend 10+ minutes reading posts.
This is an annoying requirement to create a support related topic because it pushes people towards mindless spam to hit the minimum requirement to ask for support.
I get that this is to discourage people asking dumb support questions, but it also prevents people from opening actual support threads because they don’t want to bother with spamming to open a thread. It’s forcing people to ‘contribute‘ when they might have nothing to contribute, besides having a support related inquiry…
Purpose:
Making the support channels widely available to users without having to create 5 topics before you can drop a support thread. Just leave the browsing requirements for that channel.
Noticed this requirement after wanting to open a support thread myself, it basically prevents me from opening a support thread unless I post about other unrelated stuff. Kinda retarded if you ask me.
Anyway, the actual reason I wanted to open a support thread:
Moved some BNB around recently (don’t judge me lol) and tried to bridge it. MM didn’t create any onchain transactions, but the wallet showed transactions in queue (which never existed). Trying to cancel the tx just created a tx to self with 0 value - something you do to push a stuck tx through. Only that THERE WAS NO TRANSACTION TO PUSH THROUGH BECAUSE MM NEVER CREATED A VALID BRIDGE TX. Even trying to create send txs had the same issue - shows in wallet, doesn’t exist onchain.
Had to use a different wallet to actual perform the transaction, at that point one of the queued not existing transactions disappeared. Another one didn’t. It cannot be pushed through and disappear from the wallet. Creating txs with the same nonce as the imaginary MM queued transaction does nothing. Locking/unlocking wallet still shows it. Removing and readding BSC network still shows it.
That transaction for some reason shows under BASE network transactions (???) as well. I don’t even use BSC - just tried to bridge some random assets I had left over - so I fully removed BSC from my wallet. But if I toggle in Base network or “all popular networks“ then that damn not existing BSC transaction still shows up in queue?!
Previous transactions like that opened the BSC block explorer to a not existing hash. Trying to view the last stuck TX on blockchain explorer opens up:
chrome-extension:///
Which is basically the string that would open MM extension in expanded view:
chrome-extension:///home.html
Only that without home.html at the end it just opens a broken page lol
This is quite annoying because I don’t even have BSC added to my networks, but the imaginary BSC tx queue keeps showing up under base / all popular networks. BUT THE TRANSACTION DOESN’T EVEN EXIST ONCHAIN.
Extension/Mobile/Both:
Desktop / both (mobile MM also had issues with creating a valid BSC tx, only desktop shows imaginary transactions in the queue)
