Using Keystone with MM mobile

Trying to use my Keystone with MetaMask mobile.

MM forces me to have a local useless account.
I could skip the security backup until I added my keystone.

Now that I have “funds in my app” (I don’t, the funds are all on the keystone account ). I can’t skip the backup of the local (empty) account.

Rabby offers a much better UX, but is not supported by a specific app.

Hi @sighing, thank you for sharing this feedback with us. Were you trying to create a feature request post? As I see this one is under “Support”, I can change the topic for you if you’d like me to do so :coffee:

I guess feature request?
Unless there is a way to avoid having a local account.

In MetaMask mobile when you’re using a hardware wallet like Keystone, the app requires creating a local account and doesn’t currently offer a way to bypass this requirement.
This setup is for user security but may seem unnecessary for those using only a hardware wallet. Unfortunately, there’s no option within MetaMask to avoid having this local account. Completing the backup for the local account is necessary to use the app smoothly. That being said I’ll change the topic of this to a feature request post and share this feedback with the team as well :coffee:
