Cannot enter amount int metamask

Hello folks. I’m editing this one so it can be more detailed.
We are having a strange issue and I know for a fact I’m not the only one.
I imported a token on GOERLI network called AAPL (Apple) from this address:
0xE39A5100B5B5b9985c5338B873eE2B10D5C36A7a (goerli)
From etherscan explorer I can do a transfer because the contract is verified.

But when I try sending by MetaMask to another address it doesn’t let me enter an amount. It also says No Conversion Rate Available (if that’s some kind of clue).
I have enough goerli ethers to pay for the tx

This happens in MUMBAI as well with this token:
0x265C681aA55E8483e04788902e9190bd03a7f443 (AVAXsn)
Can execute a transfer from etherscan but MetaMask does not allow to put any amount when trying to send to another address

It is a simple send in the same network (testnet) between one address to another
Do you know why is MetaMask not letting me put an amount for these tokens ?
Can anyone try it ?
Could it be because these have 27 decimals ?
I tried in FF and in Chrome with the same results

Hi @anibal.estevez ,

Where are you trying to send the AAPL and AVAXsn (both on testnets), what are you trying to do with it? It’s all testnet money (no value).

I’m trying to send some of it to another address (for instance)… SEND on MetaMask is not working…
Transfer from etherscan is working as expected.
Both are on testnet, yes… the goal is to put it in mainnet whenever is possible

Hi!

Confirming you understand you wouldn’t be able to transfer these to mainnet. The contract would actually have to be deployed on mainnet for it to be there.

To confirm I’m following correctly, you’re trying to send the testnet APPL or testnet AVAXsn tokens from one testnet address to another testnet address (on same test network)?

To confirmo what you understood. YES.
I’m just trying to do a regular transfer of such token from one address to another in the same testnet network…
It is just a token transfer IN THE SAME NETWORK from one address to another.
I also know that this has nothing to do with mainnet.

I put two examples, one in goerli, the other in mumbai because I have the same error in both…
I tried in FF and also in chrome with the same results.

I cannot transfer FROM MetaMask because it doesn’t allow me to enter an amount

I CAN TRANSFER if I execute the transfer function from ETHERSCAN explorer because the contract is verified

hey. I found a similar discussion. the author also encountered the same problem: there are no conversion rate available

The solution mentioned in the post is to increase the gas limit, hope it works for you

I thought so too… but the advance gas controls seems not working
i have it in ON


but as seen on the first screen, i got nothing

any suggestion ?

There is also no editing function for gas fees in my transfer interface. :joy:
By the way, have you tried the mobile app?

I have conversion on test networks in ON
I found how to edit the gas in the “Market >” button

But even if I edit that, I couldn’t send anything because I cannot enter an amount

Hello,
Do you mean the amount of AAPL token? If yes, on the image attached, you have chosen the amount which is 98 AAPL. What is the problem then?

I choose 98 because that is the only amount I can put by pressing MAX
I cannot put any value. MetaMask doesn’t let me do that… it deletes the amount
I can only put MAX

This seems to be a bug of MetaMask for every token with more than 20 decimals
This one is 27 so it seems that is the issue

Visit support.metamask.io and click the large blue ‘start a conversation’ bubble (screenshot of image below). This will initially connect you to a bot, but then connect you to a live agent. They should be able to help escalate/get a resolution.
