Hi, new to Metamask. I’m using Chrome extension. What happens when I update Windows/reboot my computer? Will I need to reimport my wallet using my secret recovery phrase or just login again using my password? Just want to make sure so understand what to expect. Thanks for helping a newbie!
As long as you still have seeds, nothing else matters!

The password locks metamask for only that particular device.
The Secret Recovery Phrase is the lock for the account on the blockchain itself.
Metamask uses the SRP (technically a hash of it) to do things on the blockchain side.
So if someone were to get your SRP, they would have access to the associated account. The password wouldn’t stop them.
