To resolve this issue, one this possible solution should help resolve the issue:

  • Disable other wallet extensions installed in your browser for the time being. (they might be causing misunderstanding for the connection request)

  • Clear your browser cache and cookies

  • Update your MetaMask and your browser to the latest version.

  • Restart your browser and make sure you have a good network connection.

  • Uninstall and Reinstall MetaMask
    (MAKE SURE YOU BACK UP YOUR WALLET PASSPHRASE/PRIVATE KEYS!)
