Simply create a new wallet that will give a new Secret Recovery Phrase for you to store safely, offline. Do not share that SRP with anyone, nor the private keys of any accounts within it.

Best way to have a fresh safe wallet. Make sure that your device is not compromised either, as that would compromise any wallets you might create, if that could be the cause for it.

Use metamask.io for official source of the wallet. Always use official channels.

If you don’t need the old wallet, uninstall the extension and install again and create a new wallet there
