I’ve had to reset my app and had some tokens with zero balance waiting for an IPO and they have disappeared how can I recover them
Hi, when you reset the app did you restore your old wallet using the old wallet’s Secret Recovery Phrase? Are you now on the same public address where you previously had the zero balance tokens?
If you imported the Secret Recovery phrase, you should get the same account addresses back, in the same order. (you can create an unliminted number of sub-accounts on the same SRP. If the wallet address doesnt look correct, it could be the wrong SRP was entered, or the account you’re looking for could also be a sub account. If the address doesnt look familiar, try adding a new account from the “add account” link in the accounts drop down menu.) Here’s some other things to check if the wallet address doesnt seem like the same one that it was before restoring: My Secret Recovery Phrase/private key restored the wrong account(s) | MetaMask Help Center
You can check the full history and token balance from a block explorer (https://etherscan.io for ethereum. Each chain has a different explorer, but some tools like blockscan.com can view txns across a few dozen popular chains at once. Helpful if you do txns on a few chains, but arent sure which one a particular token is on)
it sounds like your tokens just aren’t being automatically detected, you can manually add them to the display with these steps: How to display tokens in MetaMask | MetaMask Help Center (kinda makes sense they wouldn’t, as they dont have a balance.)
You may also need to add the correct network(s) first. This article can help you get connected to custom chains: How to add a custom network RPC | MetaMask Help Center
