Guys, I am basically screwed now. With more than a $ 1,000 locked in Metamask I do not know how to KYC. I do not even know how to contact the crooks! It is the most secretive organization I had to deal with. Why are they so difficult to reach?
So how do I achieve the KYC? Secretive, not helpful, leeches that take money but won’t release. Difficult to communicate with. For those who remember the old Mafia, this is the felling I get. Bunch of crooks.

If you received anything telling you to KYC, it’s a scam. MetaMask does not ask users to KYC and never will.
Do you have your secret recovery phrase? How are your funds locked?

Also, there is a help desk button on the support.metamask.io page, actually pretty easy to contact MetaMask. You will initially get connected to a bot but as you answer questions you will hear back from an agent.
support.metamask.io > click the blue ‘start a conversation’ bubble in the middle-upper-right of page (image of what it looks like below). Remember, nobody, not even support will ever ask for your secret recovery phrase. Also a pop-up window or site should never ask you for your secret recovery phrase, if they do - this is all a scam.
